About PIET Panipat
The Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET) was established in 2006 by the Vidyapeeth Education Trust in Haryana. The Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi (Government of India) and is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University, a NAAC A+ accredited university. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited this institution for the department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE). The campus of PIET is located in Panipat, Haryana. PIET has also been awarded many awards, such as the Best Engineering & Management College in Haryana, Academic Excellence Award, Best Placement Award, etc.
PIET is a trendsetting institute paving the way for Education 4.0. By offering a number of courses in emerging technologies, PIET is preparing students for the next industrial revolution. PIET offers courses in various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes such as the BBA, BCA, M.Tech, MCA, etc. The institute wants to develop skilled professionals who can impact the educational world in the field of engineering and management. The institute has made its place among the ten engineering institutes in the Delhi NCR region. The Computer Science & Engineering Department of PIET is the only NBA-accredited department in Haryana. The institute has also played host to the Smart India Hackathon organized by AICTE & MHRD, in which PIET students got to interact with Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi through video conferencing.
The campus of the Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology is spread over 20 acres of land and has a well-planned layout. The campus infrastructure of PIET enables a new-age learning experience for its students. The Flipped Classrooms are equipped with 3D Projectors and automated systems to capture video lectures. Plus, students can take advantage of the advanced library, information centre and laboratories available on campus. With its superior infrastructure and facilities, the institute is emerging globally and becoming a chosen destination for students.
PIET arranges various extra-curricular and co-curricular activities for its students from time to time, with the aim of providing opportunities to the students for their overall personality development. The institute has partnered with world-class universities across the globe for its student exchange and internship programmes. In order to promote entrepreneurship, the institute has also set up a Start-Up Incubation Center. A student at PIET is provided support and mentorship for all-around development.
In addition to the extra-curricular activities, the institute also has a training and placement cell which prepares students for the various training processes such as verbal, quantitative, analytical and problem-solving techniques, group discussions, etc. The push for recruitment activities at PIET has helped it gain the status of one of the best colleges for placements in its region. More than 450 corporate houses recruit students from PIET, and the highest package received is Rs. 54 LPA.
